Bathys incorporates Bluetooth® 5.1 and active noise cancellation technologies, providing freedom of movement, ease of use and perfect insulation. Its patented Aluminium/Magnesium “M” dome speaker drivers, made in France using technologies from the best Focal headphones, deliver high-fidelity, detailed, precise and dynamic sound reproduction. With its Active Noise Cancellation system, Bathys immerses the listener in deep silence for a full listening experience, even in the noisiest environments. Its integrated USB-DAC mode offers a resolution of up to 24 bits at 192 kHz – a guarantee of high sound quality! BLUETOOTH® 5.1, JACK, USB

Compatible with SBC, AAC, Apt-X™ and Apt-X™ Adaptive codecs, Bathys offers a wide range of connectivity options: Bluetooth® 5.1, Jack, USB. The EQ facility, along with voice assistants and other settings, are available via a dedicated app developed by Focal for use with iOS and Android systems.

SLEEK DESIGN

The Bathys design is inherited from Focal's open- and closed-back headphones. These ergonomic headphones combine refined materials – such as magnesium on the yokes, real leather on the headband and aluminium – resulting in outstanding comfort for any head shape. The earcup grilles adhere to the highly aesthetic curves of Focal’s distinctive headphones design code. The brand's flame symbol features at the centre of the earcups, incorporating a white backlight system that can be activated as desired. Lastly, Bathys boasts a distinctive, timeless Black Silver finish and design cues intended to offer unparalleled lightness, compactness and support.

PERFECT SOUND INSULATION

Bathys portable headphones offer two noise cancellation modes for a total escape into the music: a “Silent” mode optimised for journeys with high background noise (planes, trains, etc.) and a “Soft” mode to help with focus at home, in the office, etc. It also features a “transparency” mode that allows you to hear sounds around you, as required.

FEATURES AND USEFUL OPTIONS

In addition to its Active Noise Cancellation technology, Bathys features easily accessible control buttons, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants for unrestricted use, Clear Voice Capture microphone technology for crystal-clear phone conversations, and an adjustable EQ via the dedicated app for adjusting sound according to your wishes. In terms of battery life, Bathys offers over 30 hours of use in Bluetooth® and active noise cancellation mode, while just 15 minutes will give you 5 extra listening hours thanks to its fast-charging function. Lastly, two cables – 4ft (1.2m) audio jack and 4ft (1.2m) USB-C® – are attached to the headphones for optimal wired listening.

BATHYS

Bathys comes from the word “bathyscaphe”, the first submarine exploration vehicle. The embodiment of calm, depth and absolute silence, this vessel is the inspiration behind the name of Focal's very first headphones with active noise reduction.

RUNNING-IN PERIOD

These headphones require a running-in period in order to operate at their best.

They will run themselves in naturally after several hours of listening time. If you want to speed up the process, we recommend playing very bassy music through them for at least 24 hours at a relatively high volume.

This will stabilise the speaker drivers and allow you to get the very best out of your headphones.
